I've seen the two swords above used only once in combat, when K'Ehleyr and Worf were "fighting" in the holodeck. ("The Emissary" [TNG]) More often they are seen in hanging on the walls, ready for action, in officer's quarters. Examples include "Reunion" in K'mpek's quarters, "Redemption" in Kurn's quarters.
